What is the difference between chrome-plated rods and polished rods?

The chrome-plated rod is chrome-plated, usually hard chrome-plated, and its appearance hardness and wear resistance are much better than ordinary steel rods; the polished rod is only polished, it may be polished to the original rod, or it may be It is polished after chrome plating. The former has low surface hardness, while the latter has high surface hardness, good wear resistance, and better lubricity than chrome-plated rods.
The hardness of the polished rod is not high. After chrome plating with chrome-plated rods, the hardness of the surface is improved and the wear resistance of the surface is increased. For example, the shock absorbers of cars and motorcycles, and engine cylinders are all plated with hard chrome. Iron is easy to rust when exposed to the air, and chromium has strong oxidation resistance. After chrome plating, it can play a certain antirust effect.
The tolerance of chrome-plated rods is usually g6 or h7, and the thickness of chrome plating is 0.8~3mm. A3 steel is a name in the past, and now it is called Q235 steel. The yield strength is 235MPa, the tensile strength is 375-460MPa; the elongation is 26%. Among the boards, Q235 is the most common raw material, which belongs to the general board series, so the difference between chrome-plated rods and polished rods: wear resistance and corrosion resistance, of course, the price of chrome-plated rods is also high.
