Characteristic

Bearing steel has high and uniform hardness and wear resistance as well as high elastic limit. Bearing steel is one of the most stringent steels in all steel production because of its strict requirements on the uniformity of chemical composition, the content and distribution of non-metallic inclusions, and the distribution of carbides. In 1976, ISO of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) incorporated some general bearing steel numbers into the international standards, and divided the bearing steel into four categories: fully hardened bearing steel, surface hardened bearing steel, stainless bearing steel, high temperature bearing steel and a total of 17 steel grades.

Application:Used for making various bearing rings and rollers.

Size range: OD 4-114mm WT0.5-12mm

Chemical Composition:

GCr15

C:0.95-1.05 Mn:0.20-0.40 Si:0.15-0.35 S:≤0.020 P:≤0.027 Cr:1.30-1.65

100Cr6 C :0.95~1.05 Si:0.15~0.35 Mn:0.25~0.45 S :≤0.025 P :≤0.025 Cr:1.40~1.65

Ni:≤0.30 Cu:≤0.25 Mo:≤0.08Note:Ni+Cu≤0.50

Heat treatment of 100Cr6, 1.3505 and 102Cr6, 1.2067 steel:
Softening annealing at 780 - 810 ℃ with furnace cooling to 550 - 600 ℃ at 10-20 ℃ hourly with subsequent air or isothermal cooling at 680 - 720 ℃ Tempering at 830 - 870 ℃ with cooling in oil or water at 820 - 850 ℃ Tempering at 150 - 170 ℃ in the air
