Usage method:
♦ General requirements
1. On a hard and flat substrate without distortion and visible
bulge on the surface;
2. Under the test load, the substrate must not be deformed;
3. During the test, the film generally exhibits plastic deformation
rather than elastic deformation;
4. The film thickness must be at least 10um under the load of the
indentation device;
5. The paint film must be uniform, smooth and clean.
♦ Sampling shall be conducted according to gb3186.
♦ The test plate shall be made according to Article 5 of gb9275-88.
Description:
Used for indentation test of single-layer or multi-layer coatings
of paints and varnishes. This indenter is only used to measure the
pressure resistance of the plastically deformed surface. The
indentation length can be formed when the coating film is pressed
under the specified conditions using an indentation meter. The
indentation test results are expressed as a function of the
reciprocal of the indentation length. When the performance
(indentation resistance) of the coating film is required to be
improved, the indentation resistance value increases.Paint Testing Equipment
