Description:
It is designed according to ASTM D 4212 and is used to measure the viscosity of Newtonian or quasi Newtonian liquids. It can be used in workshops, factories and laboratories to quickly check and adjust the viscosity of various fluids. The appropriate cup number shall be selected before use to control the outflow time between 20 seconds and 80 seconds. The viscosity cup is widely used in ink and printing industries.

Each Cairn cup is strictly calibrated with Newton standard oil traceable to NIST oil before delivery. Each cup is marked with the corresponding calibration coefficient "K".

Each dip cup has a 12 inch long ring handle, which can be held by hand to immerse the dip cup into the liquid container. There is a finger ring in the center of the handle, which is convenient for the dip cup to keep the vertical position during use.

The results obtained for a specific soaking cup should be expressed in "zean seconds" at a specified temperature. To convert "zean seconds" to centistokes, see the following formula (ASTM D 4212).
