The Tension Sleeve Below Packer Safety Joint is an optional tool that aids in removal of the workstring if the perforating guns or other tools below the packer becomes stuck. To initiate the release of the safety joint, part a tension sleeve by pulling on the workstring with enough overpull to shear the tension sleeve.

The Below Packer safety joint is run just below the packer, it is not recommended to run above the packer to replace the conventional RTTS Safety Joint which is the back off tool to release the workstring above the packer.
