1. What information is in a 1D barcode?
In summary, 1D barcodes usually encode a string of numeric such as
product number, production date, type, size, and so on. If you want
to add text information into the 1D barcodes, Code 39, Code 93 and
Code 128 help a lot. QR code and other 2D barcodes store large
amounts of data, which allows for more flexible usage.
2. Can a barcode scanner read all barcodes?
Not all barcode scanners can read all barcodes. Laser barcode
scanners and linear imagers read only 1D barcode scanners. Imager
(camera-based) 2D barcode scanners read all common 1D and 2D
barcodes.
3. What is difference between UPC and EAN?
A UPC is a 12-digit barcode used in North America to identify most
products. The rest of the world uses 13-digit EAN barcodes to
