the quality and safety standards of toy products.
At present, routine toy testing standards mainly include Chinese
toy safety technical specification GB6675, European Union toy
safety Standard EN71, American toy safety Standard ASTMF963,
American federal Consumer Product Safety Act CPSA, Consumer Product
Safety Improvement Act CPSIA, Canadian Toy Regulation SOR/2011-17,
Japanese toy safety standard ST2016, international toy safety
standard ISO8124.

The test items:
Physical and mechanical properties
To simulate the potential physical harm of toys under normal use
and foreseeable reasonable abuse. For example, sharp edge, small
parts, ball test, film thickness test of toy bag, sound test of
sound toy, stability test of child riding toy, etc. Toys that are
not designed or made of appropriate materials can pose risks to
children, such as death by suffocation, stomach perforation,
intestinal necrosis, cuts, and puncture wounds.
Combustion performance
Test the flammable properties of toys or materials under certain
conditions to see if the toy will burn easily when near a fire
source and cause a child to burn. The combustion performance test
is mainly for headwear toys, headgear, toy costumes, soft stuffed
toys containing plush or textile fabrics. The following substances
are generally Prohibited from being IN the manufacture of toys:
celluloid, plush fabrics that produce a flicker effect when exposed
to fire, highly flammable solids and liquids.
Phthalate esters
Phthalate ester plasticizer is mainly used in polyvinyl chloride
materials, make polyvinyl chloride materials from hard plastic into
flexible soft plastic, play the role of plasticizer, is widely used
in toys, food contact materials, medical blood bags and rubber hose
and other products. Phthalates can enter the body through
respiration, diet and contact with skin, causing harm to human
health, and have carcinogenic, mutagenic and reproductive toxicity.
Toxic elements
Some toy manufacturers use recycled materials, such as recycled
plastic, to reduce the cost of manufacturing toys, leading to the
detection of toys with removable elements exceeding the standard.
These harmful elements can easily migrate into children's bodies
through saliva, sweat and gastric juice, thus endangering their
health. It is especially noteworthy that these hazards are chronic,
imperceptible and irrecoverable compared with the mechanical and
physical property hazards such as sharp point. Harmful substances
migrate into the body, can lead to children's decreased resistance,
poor mental condition, memory loss, anemia, hair loss and other
symptoms, serious can cause damage to the liver and other organs.
