Referring to many cases of photovoltaic projects, the general
arrangement of modules is divided into 2xN vertical array or 4xN
horizontal array, which are the most economical in terms of
material and land.
However, since the output of the photovoltaic array is directly
followed by the photovoltaic grid connected inverter, the design of
the photovoltaic array should also fully consider the adaptation
with the inverter. Sometimes 3xN or other combinations will appear.
In general, when EPC designs the photovoltaic array, in order to
make the array output as much energy as possible, it is necessary
to make the photovoltaic module obtain enough radiation energy as
much as possible. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the
azimuth angle and inclination angle of the photovoltaic array.
Since the total area of the open space (including the roof) is
limited, it is necessary to properly consider reducing the floor
area of the photovoltaic array as much as possible on the premise
of obtaining a reasonable output of total energy.
Compared with the 4xN array, the cost performance of the 3XN array
is not particularly high, but when the site is limited, considering
that the shadow area is as small as possible and the installed
capacity is as large as possible, then the 3XN array is also a good
choice. Therefore, we should not make subjective comments on which
layout is better, but should choose the most appropriate one
according to the actual situation.
