Description
Double-wall drill pipe is composed of inner and outer layers of
drill pipe (called inner pipe and outer pipe). An annular gap is
formed between the inner and outer pipes, which is a channel for
pumping flushing medium to the bottom of the hole during hydraulic
rock drilling and central sampling drilling.
The central hole of the inner pipe is fixed as a whole to discharge
the flushing medium, and each double-wall drill pipe is connected
with the thread of the outer pipe to ensure the transmission of
torque and pressure. The inner tube is mostly plugged, which
generally only functions to circulate and flush the medium.
Therefore, a sealing device should be provided at the plug.
