    1. General Introduction


    The plasma ion nitriding furnace is mainly used for ion nitriding, ion nitrocarburizing (soft nitriding) plasma chemical heat treatment of mechanical parts to modify the surface of mechanical parts and obtain the required mechanical and physicochemical properties.

    3.Standard configuration of equipment

    The complete set of industrial gas nitriding furnace is composed of ion power supply, automatic control system, vacuum furnace body, vacuum acquisition system, temperature measurement and control system and gas supply system.


    3.1 vacuum furnace body


    3.1.1 vacuum furnace body


    The vacuum gas nitriding furnace body adopts bell type structure, and the furnace body is composed of bell cover and furnace base. The manufacturing of the furnace body shall be carried out in strict accordance with the welding process to ensure that all sealing surfaces are not deformed and ensure the vacuum sealing requirements for a long time.


    3.1.2 cathode


    This is the most important part of the nitriding heat treatment furnace body, from which the gas nitriding furnace power supply supplies the material tray (cathode tray) for nitriding the workpiece. In view of the particularity of vacuum discharge under high voltage, the cathode structure is directly related to whether nitriding operation can be carried out. The longitudinal clearance protection adopted by us has the advantages of simple assembly and reliable operation.


    2.1.3 temperature measurement


    Thermocouple is used for temperature measurement of vacuum heat treatment furnace body. In order to ensure the accuracy of temperature measurement of workpieces, the method of simulated temperature measurement is adopted, which has a good effect on mass nitriding products.


    3.1.4 vacuum measurement


    The vacuum measurement adopts capacitive film vacuum gauge, which is accurate and not affected by gas composition.


    3.1.5 vacuum pump


    2 sets of 2X-30 rotary vane vacuum pumps are used.


    3.1.6 nitriding gas


    Liquid ammonia is usually used as nitriding working gas, and the user shall prepare liquid ammonia. Ammonia pressure reducing valve is provided by our company. During soft nitriding, the user shall also prepare carbon dioxide and pressure reducing valve. The working gas is generally depressurized to 0.1-0.15Mpa.


    3.2 power supply


    The power supply of the ion plasma nitriding furnace includes rectifier transformer, thyristor rectifier circuit, pulse generation circuit and control circuit.


    The thyristor (SCR) module of rectifier circuit is of Japanese SanRex brand.


    The fast recovery diode (VD) module of the protection circuit is of German IXYS brand.


    The IGBT module of pulse generation circuit is selected from Mitsubishi brand.


    The special rectifier transformer, special smoothing reactor and inductor are of quality domestic brand.


    The power supply adopts solidified circuit for action control, the circuit is simple, and the reliability is greatly improved. The operation buttons are provided with mutual protection, so that the equipment will not be damaged even if the operator misoperates. The protection circuit is specially designed to automatically protect the equipment and parts in the furnace even if there is a short circuit between the anode and cathode. During operation, it is not necessary to make gear switching according to the arc striking condition in the furnace, so as to avoid the fault caused by human judgment error, and greatly reduce the heating in the electric control cabinet.


    The power supply is equipped with alarm and protection for wrong phase, phase shortage, overtemperature and overpressure.


    3.2.1 silicon controlled rectifier circuit


    The circuit provides DC high voltage for the equipment. In order to ensure the DC output, thyristor double pulse phase-shifting trigger is adopted. The phase-shifting trigger circuit has the advantages of simple circuit, good phase-shifting linearity, wide phase-shifting range, good anti-interference performance and small ripple coefficient.


    3.2.2 pulse generation circuit


    The circuit chops the DC high voltage into rectangular pulses and inputs them into the vacuum furnace. The pulse power supply has obvious energy saving, rapid arc extinguishing and no workpiece burning.


    3.2.3 computer automatic control system


    The control system has two modes: manual and automatic. The full-automatic mode can realize the automatic control of the whole process. The process parameters such as temperature and furnace pressure are controlled by computer. Input multi-stage temperature rise (pressure) and thermal insulation (pressure) curves corresponding to the target process on the computer, set multi-stage arcing control, and the process parameters can be corrected in real time. Suitable for special requirements of ion nitriding.


    The temperature, vacuum nitriding furnace pressure and other process data of the whole process are stored in the computer, processed by the graphics software, displayed on the computer screen in the form of color graphics curve, and can be printed and saved. The historical process curve can be viewed by using the large storage hard disk of the computer. For typical workpiece and charging, the temperature, pressure curve and other parameters can be saved in the computer with the specified name, and the same process can be directly adopted for the same or similar workpiece.


    In this interface, you can query the pressure temperature curve recorded in history, including target curve and actual curve.The red solid line in this picture is the actual temperature curve recorded, and the blue solid line is the actual pressure curve recorded.


    4.Installation Conditions

    4.1 Minimum site area required for equipment: 4m×6m concrete floor;

    4.2 Ambient temperature: 0 ℃ - 45 ℃;

    4.3 Relative humidity: < 85%;

    4.4 Cooling water: water pressure 0.10-0.3Mpa, flow ≥ 3m3/h, room temperature. If cooling water tower is used, the water flow should be ≥ 6m3.
