Breif introduction:

Our self steering bogie is designed on the basis of South African Scheffer self-steering bogie technologies and has satisfactory application Taiwan freight wagons, where the railway lines are with small curves.

Self steering radial bogies can reduce wheel flange wear and lateral force, reduce fuel consumption of locomotives, reduce running noise and environmental pollution while ensuring sufficient linear stability. They are especially suitable for the operation requirements of high-speed and heavy-duty vehicles on small radius curve lines, and have great technical and economic significance.

Self steerage bogie is guided through creep pressure among wheel and rail. When the bogie enters the curve, the creep pressure generated among the wheel and rail makes the wheel set "automatically" input the radial role of the curve. The self guiding mechanism lets in radial or octagonal displacement of the wheel set, however limits rhombic displacement, as a result making sure enough linear movement balance of the bogie, acquiring outstanding curve passing performance, lowering flange put on and lateral pressure, and minimizing the upkeep value of the wheel and the specification.

The self steerage bogie is a solid metallic 3 piece freight vehicle bogie.
