Worm Gear Slew Drive Description
The drive can be divided into two types: gear drive and worm gear
drive according to different transmission forms, and can be divided
into two types: open type and closed type according to the
different closed forms of transmission. The simplest form of rotary
drive is used in excavators, tower cranes and other construction
machinery. The drive turntable on the product is the last link of
the reduction transmission chain. This rotary drive is an open gear
transmission, and its front end needs to be equipped with a
planetary reducer with a large reduction ratio as its power input,
so it can only be called a rotary drive. The prototype of the
drive, in order to expand the application range of such products
and further improve the convenience of product use and maintenance,
a rotary drive with integrated worm gear and worm drive has been
developed. Applied to such products, the rotary drive equipped with
the enveloping worm not only increases the driving torque, but also
further improves the driving accuracy, and can be digitally
controlled, so it is widely used in tracking and fine-tuning
devices on solar and wind power generation equipment. It has good
application results in the fields of robots, radar, low-speed
heavy-duty lifting, lifting equipment, precision CNC turntables and
other products.
