8mm solid polycarbonate sheet greenhouse perspex panels
1. Polycarbonate Sheet
Polycarbonate board, referred to as PC board, is made of
polycarbonate polymer using advanced formula and the latest
extrusion technology. PC board is a new type of high-strength,
light-transmitting building material, and it is the best building
material to replace glass and plexiglass. Compared with laminated
glass, tempered glass, insulating glass, PC board has excellent
properties such as light weight, weather resistance, super
strength, flame retardant, sound insulation, etc., and has become a
popular building decoration material.
Anti-combustion performance: PC board has good flame retardancy,
does not produce toxic gas when burning, and its smoke
concentration is lower than that of wood and paper. It is
determined as a first-class flame-retardant material and meets
environmental protection standards. After burning the sample for
30s, its burning length did not exceed 25mm, and the flammable gas
was decomposed only when the hot air reached 467℃. Therefore, after
relevant measurements, it is considered that its fire performance
is qualified.
Chemical resistance: It has no reaction to acid, alcohol, fruit
juice, and beverages; it also has certain resistance to gasoline
and kerosene, and will not crack or lose light transmission within
48 hours of contact. However, the chemical resistance to certain
chemicals (such as amines, esters, halogenated hydrocarbons, paint
thinners) is poor.
Light weight: The density of polycarbonate is about 1.29/cm3, which
is half lighter than glass. If it is made into a hollow PC board,
its mass is 1/3 of that of plexiglass, and about 1/15 to 1/12 of
that of glass. The hollow PC board has excellent stiffness and can
be used as a skeleton member. The lightweight PC board makes the
construction safer and more convenient, which can greatly save the
time and cost of shipping and construction.

3. Clear polycarbonate sheet features:
(1) Mechanical properties
1. Impact strength: PC solid sheet has excellent impact resistance,
its impact resistance is 250 times that of glass of the same
thickness and 30 times that of acrylic sheet.
The impact strength of Pc solid sheet is like "transparent steel
plate".
2. Good tensile strength, good heat resistance of PC solid sheet,
even at 120℃, its tensile strength can still reach 350kgf/cm2.
3. Bending strength: PC solid sheet has good bending resistance,
even if the bending angle reaches 90°, it will not break.
4. Anti-fatigue and creep resistance: The creep resistance of PC
solid sheet is the best among thermoplastics. Creep is small even
at high temperatures.
(2) Thermal performance
1. Melting temperature: The melting temperature of PC solid sheet
is 135℃, and its continuous use temperature reaches 120℃.
2. Linear expansion coefficient: The linear expansion coefficient
is 7×10-5cm/cm/℃, which is relatively small in plastics.
3. Embrittlement temperature: The embrittlement temperature of PC
solid sheet is -40°C, and the minimum continuous use temperature is
-30°C, which is incomparable with general plastics.
4. Combustibility: PC solid sheet is one of the flame-retardant and
self-extinguishing plastics, which will not produce toxic gas when
heated at high temperature.
4. The scope of use of PC board
--Gardens and pavilions for exotic decorations in gardens,
amusement places and resting places;
--Interior and exterior decoration of commercial buildings, curtain
walls of modern urban buildings;
--Air transparent containers, front windshields of motorcycles,
planes, trains, ships, automobiles, motorboats, submarines and
glass military and police shields;
--The arrangement of telephone booths, advertising street signs,
light box advertisements, and exhibitions;
--Instruments, meters, high and low voltage switchgear panels and
military industries, etc.;
--High-grade interior decoration materials such as walls, ceilings
and screens;
-- Noise barriers for highways and urban elevated roads;
--Agricultural greenhouses and breeding greenhouses;
--Modern ecological restaurant ceiling;
--Bike sheds, balcony sunshades and roof rest pavilions in all

7. Package and shipping
7.1. One piece of acrylic sheet package: double-sided covered with
kraft paper or PE film, the cover film does not have any LOGO of
our company.
7.2. Tray package: the total weight of each pallet is about 2 tons,
the bottom is wooden pallet or iron pallet, and the surrounding is
packed with corrugated paper.
7.3. The packaging method of the whole container: 20-23 tons (about
3000 pieces) 20-foot container, 10-12 pallets.
