FEATURES of Plastic Volumetric Doser

1. Unit is comprised of standard modules for ease of cleaning, disassembly and interchangeability.

2. Adopt efficient brushless DC motor and free from maintenance.

3. Dosing screws are made of 304 stainless steel for precision and durability.

4. Hopper magnets are equipped in standard base to avoid molding machine screw damage.

5. External signals can be directly input to control box.

6. The current mode can be recorded without interrupted by power failure.

7. Compulsory material cleaning makes it easier to replace masterbatch.

8. Both masterbatch blockage and overload can be detected, then machine will halt and sound an alarm.

Application of Plastic Volumetric Doser

OVD series volumetric dosers are suitable for auto-proportional mixing of virgin materials, regrinds, master batch or additives. The color additives are added according to the preset proportion and parameters, error limit is within 1%. There are two modes of OVD which is separately applied to injection molding and extrusion molding. A gear motor with various gear ration is coupled to a dosing screw of 12, 16, 20, 24mm in diameter to give several models with output ranging from 0.1kg/hr to 110kg/hr. Three-color and four-color dosers are available for customers to use in various fields.

Functional Scheme of Plastic Volumetric Doser

Signals from the digital control cabinet are sent to motor, and motor begins to work. The rotating force is transferred to the dosing screw through shaft connector. Color additives in the hopper fall into the groove of conveying screw, then are taken to hopper base by rotating action of the screw.

(1) All output capacities of above models are based on data from bulk density 1.2kg/L, dia. 2-3mm masterbatch in a test criteria of continuous running, which is only for reference. Max. capacity of the machine is subject to the size and composition of the material.

(2) “※”means that mixer base is optional.

(3) “*” stands for external dia. of screw is up to model selected.

(4) “**” stands for the output capacity depends on model selected, data of the single color doser can be a reference. For example: OVD-D-30-24, output capacity 1.4-50kg/hr.

(5) Power: 1ф, 115/230VAC, 50Hz, but it will be 3ф, 230/400/460/575VAC, 50/60Hz when being equipped with mixer.
