1. What Is A Pipe Elbow?
In the pipeline system, the pipe elbow is a pipe fitting that
changes the direction of the pipeline. According to the angle,
there are three most commonly used ones: 45°, 90°, and 180°. In
addition, according to engineering needs, it also includes other
abnormal angle elbows such as 60°.

2.What is a Carbon Steel Elbow?
Carbon steel elbow is a metal pipe fitting that changes the
direction of the pipeline on carbon steel pipeline. The connection
methods include screw thread and welding. According to the angle,
there are three most commonly used elbows: 45 °, 90 °, and 180 °,
and other abnormal angle elbows such as 60 ° are also included
according to the needs of the project.
Carbon steel elbow, first of all, according to its radius of
curvature, can be divided into long radius elbow and short radius
elbow. Long radius elbow refers to its radius of curvature equal to
1.5 times the outer diameter of the pipe, that is, R=1.5D. Short
radius elbow means that its radius of curvature is equal to the
outer diameter of the pipe, that is, R= 1.0D. (D is elbow diameter,
R is the radius of curvature.) According to the pressure grade,
there are about 17 kinds of pipe standards, which are the same as
those in the United States: Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20, Sch30,
Sch40s, STD, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80s, XS; Sch80, Sch100, Sch120,
Sch140, Sch160, XXS.
