Pumping unit is the main ground equipment in the pumping system of pumping unit deep well pump. The beam pumping unit is mainly composed of beam - connecting rod - crank mechanism, reducer, power equipment and auxiliary equipment. During operation, the power machine transmits the high-speed rotation to the crank shaft through the belt and reduction gearbox, and drives the crank shaft to rotate at low speed. The crank drives the traveling beam to swing up and down through the beam through the connecting rod. The rope hanger hung on the donkey head drives the sucker rod to move up and down.

According to the structure, beam pumping units are mainly divided into two categories: ordinary beam pumping units and front mounted beam pumping units.

With the continuous development and progress of pumping unit manufacturing technology, since the 1990s, different forms of energy-saving pumping units have been developed. Energy saving pumping units still belong to the structure of ordinary beam pumping units. The structural characteristics of energy-saving pumping units will be introduced in energy-saving technology.

The main components of the ordinary beam pumping unit and the front beam pumping unit are the same, but the connection position between the beam and the connecting rod is different. Ordinary pumping units generally use mechanical balance, while the front-end pumping units mostly used pneumatic balance at first, but due to the imperfection of technology, the method of mechanical balance was used later. At present, the front-end pumping units used in our factory are all mechanical balance. The crank angle of up stroke and down stroke of the front mounted pumping unit is 195 ° and 165 °, making the up stroke slower than the down stroke.
