Generally, there is one aerial bare wire for each phase. For 220kV and above lines, phase splitting wire is
adopted in order to reduce corona loss and corona interference due
to large transmission capacity, that is, two or more wires are used
for each phase. Adopting split wire can transmit large electric energy, and the
electric energy loss is less, and it has better anti-vibration
performance. Conductors are often subjected to various natural conditions in
operation, and must have good conductivity, high mechanical
strength, light weight, low price, strong corrosion resistance and
other characteristics. Because China's aluminum resources are richer than copper, and the
price difference between aluminum and copper is large, so almost
all steel core aluminum stranded wire. Each conductor shall have only one connector in each distance.
Conductors and lightning conductors shall not have connectors in
crossing highways, rivers, railways, important buildings, power
lines and communication lines.
