Worm Geared Hydraulic Slewing Drive Description
In the industry, there are many models of rotary drives with
different series. The SE series is a common category. This range of
slewing drives generally features a low cost enclosed design with
lip seals, slewing ring assemblies, 360-degree rotation, and a
self-locking gear set. Select models feature a dual worm gear
design for increased torque capability. Furthermore, the device can
also meet the application requirements in a high humidity
environment, so that it is not easily affected by wet weather or
even heavy rain.
In addition, SE slewing drive utilizes hourglass worm drive
technology and adopts a multi-gear contact hourglass worm structure
with good impact resistance, which is suitable for more precise
applications to achieve maximum gear torque and most stable
rotation. A standard swing drive is equipped with an open housing
and a single self-locking hourglass worm. When the power input is
returned to neutral, the worm will lock the load in place without
any external braking. This design makes the SE slewing drive an
ideal solution for matching the relative rotation of two objects.
