Threaded Button Bits Face shape and Carbide Button Shape Characteristics

Drop Center:
This kind of design is suited to high penetration rates application
in soft to medium-hard and fissured rock formations.
Concave Face:
The all-round application bit face is specifically for a
medium-hard and homogeneous rock formation. These bits have good
hole deviation control ability and better flushing capacity.

Convex Face:
The convex faced bits are mainly used for high penetration rates in
soft to medium-hard with low to medium air pressure. It is the most
resistant to steel wash.
Flat Face:
It is commonly used for hard to very hard and abrasive rock
formations in applications with high air pressures. Flat face bits
have a high penetration rates and resistance to steel wash.


Insert Carbide Button shape Selection:
In general, the more gauge buttons, the better over performance,
especially in hard rock. The different button is ideal for
different ground conditions, abrasive levels, and penetration
levels.
