Piston assembly is one of the main parts of the hydraulic end
system of the mud pump, and also one of the wearing parts in
drilling work. The
discharge pressure of the mud pump is generated by the
reciprocating linear motion of the piston assembly in the piston.

consists of piston core, rubber skin, circlip, pressure plate, etc.

The piston and the cylinder liner (some have no cylinder liner and
are directly connected to the inner wall of the liquid cylinder)

dynamic seals, and the sealing elements are assembled on the
piston. Through the reciprocating motion of the piston, the volume
in the working
chamber is alternately changed, and the pumping, suction and
discharge processes are realized with the help of the pump valve.
Therefore, it is
required that the piston must have: ① good sealing; ② sufficient
strength and rigidity; ③ the connection and positioning of the
piston body, the
piston rod, the piston ring, etc. should be firm and reliable.
Has excellent oil resistance and wear resistance. The working
temperature is not higher than 120℃, and it is suitable for
oil-based mud with a
working pressure below 35Mpa and a working environment with high
sand content.
