Special alloySteel AISI140 Introduction
AISI 4140 belongs to ultra-high strength steel, implemented
standard: ASTM_A29/A29M (forged and cold-worked carbon steel and
alloy steel bars)
AISI 4140 has high strength and toughness, good hardenability, no
obvious temper brittleness, high fatigue limit and resistance to
multiple impact
after quenching and tempering, and good impact toughness at low
temperature. The steel is suitable for manufacturing large and medium-sized
plastic moulds which require certain strength and toughness.
The chemical composition of AISI 4140 is shown below:

Scope of application:
High strength, hardenability, good toughness, small deformation
during quenching, high creep strength and durable strength at high
temperature.
Used in the manufacture requirements higher than 35CrMo steel
strength and conditioning section more large forgings, such as
locomotive
traction with the big gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure
vessel, rear axle, gear load connecting rod and a spring clip, can
also be used to
under 2000 m deep well of oil drill pipe joint and the fishing
tool, and can be used for bending machine mould, etc.
