High Pressure Full Bore Retrievable Packer / 7 inch RTTS Packer For DST Tools

The Full Bore Retrievable Packer is a full opening, hookwall type packer which is similar with RTTS Packer in Halliburton. The full bore retrievable packer can segregate bidirectional pressure designed for use in drill stem testing, treating, and squeeze cementing operations. The full opening of the retrievable packer permits pumping large volumes of fluid with a minimum pressure drop, and allows the passage of a through tubing type perforating gun which helps make the packer usable for multiple operations with one trip in the hole-such as perforate, test, treat, squeeze, perforate, etc.

Generally, the full bore retrievable packer is composed of a packer body assembly and circulating valve assembly. It may also includes a safety joint. The packer body includes a J-slot mechanism, mechanical slips, packing element, and hydraulic slips. Large, heavy-duty slips are used in the hydraulic hold-down mechanism and help prevent the tool from being pumped up the hole. The packer is equipped with the drag block.

The full bore retrievable circulating valve can be locked closed when the packer is unset to reverse fluid around the bottom of the packer. The circulating valve is designed with full opening allows tubing-type guns and other wire line equipment to pass
