Question:can we hang it from wood ceiling? Or this is only for tile ceiling?

Answer:These are designed for a dropped ceiling; however, I used both sets of mine for drywall ceiling. For the kitchen, I cut holes in the ceiling to accommodate the power supply and mounted them flush against the ceiling. For another room, I built boxes from 1x3s. You can purchase the mounting kit separately.

Question:How many fixtures would I need for a two car garage?

Answer:that depends on how much light you need 2 would be okay but 3 would probably do

Question:Can you link to me to flush mount kit? I'm installing in unfinished basement with low ceilings across joists.

Answer:I have no clue about a kit. I would just secure the wired panel under framework with a couple ties.

Question:I would be purchasing these to put into the boxes from the fluorescent bulbs and removing ballasts. Do they come with mounting hardware for retrofit?

Answer:The lights are made to where they set down in a suspended ceiling very easy to install.
