Horizontal Abrasive-Resistant Sand Dredge Pump
Sand Gravel Pump Introduction:
1. Sand pump (dredge pump) is designed as single casing connected
by means of clamp bands and wide wet-passage.
2. The wearing parts are made of ultra chromium abrasion-resistance
alloys, long service life and very low failure rate.
3.The pumps are designed for continuously transferring strong
corrosive big-solid -contained slurry which the
common slurry pump cannot transfer. They are widely used in
dredging,sand excavation;mining,
explosive-sludge in metal melting, etc.
4. G series gravel pump is often installed on cutter suction
dredger or barge.
5. Gravel pump outlet direction can be in any position of 360· This
type of pump possesses
the advantages of easy installation and operation, good performance
of NPSH and abrasion resistance.
6. The discharge direction of pump can be oriented in any direction
of 360°
Material
There are 3 standard shaft seal methods: Packing seal: it is the
lowest in cost. Expeller seal: it is the most commonly used.
Mechanical seal: it has the best seal effect, but high in cost.
also has strict requirement of flush water.
Bearing Assembly
Convenient to adjust the space between impeller and front liner and
can be removed completely. Lubricated by grease; Easy maintenance.
Impeller – front and back shroud expulsion vanes reduce gland pressure and
intrusion of high concentrations of solids in the gland area.
Efficiency is maintained by minimizing suction side recirculation.
Specially designed and shaped impeller vanes allow the handling of
extraordinarily large particles. The unique casing design and
sealing vanes prevent abrasive solids intrusion at the sealing
faces.
Casing – The large, robust casing has been designed to reduce internal
velocities resulting in minimum efficiency loss and improved casing
wear life. The casing is made up of three components to reduce
maintenance time and costs associated with a one piece design.
Seals
1. Expeller (Centrifugal Seal) – no external sealing water required
where applicable
2. Stuffing Box – flushed gland sealing with braided packing and a
lantern ring
3. Mechanical Seals
Application:
G Series sand gravel pumps are designed to handle abrasive and
large particles for gravel and dredging operations.
G sand gravel pumps are designed for the continuous handling of the
most difficult higher abrasive slurries,
containing solids too large to be pumped by a standard slurry
