When starting, the transmission mechanism moves the drive gear outward along the spline groove of the starter shaft to mesh with the flywheel ring gear, and transmits the torque generated by the electric motor to the engine crankshaft through the flywheel to start the engine.
3. After starting, the speed of the flywheel increases, which will drive the motor shaft to rotate at a high speed through the drive gear, causing the motor to overspeed. Therefore, after the engine is started, the transmission mechanism should disengage the drive gear from the motor to prevent the motor from overspeeding.
4. The control device is used to connect and cut off the circuit between the starter and the battery. In some cars, it also has the function of connecting and isolating the additional resistance of the ignition coil.

5. The time for starting the motor each time should not be too long, generally about 10 seconds is the best. The time interval between the two starts of the starter motor is about 1 minute, preferably more than one minute. If it fails to start three times in a row, check the engine, battery, circuit lines and connection points at this time.
6. For the starter motor without overcurrent protection device, if it fails to start three times in a row, the starter motor should stop working at this time, because the starter current is too large, and the starter motor will be overheated due to the excessive current when working for a long time. , If you continue to forcibly start the motor, the motor will most likely burn out.
