The pleat/star bag has the advantage of either taking the same
filter surface of conventional cylindrical filter bags and reducing
the diameter (thus reducing the spaced need for filter elements) or
taking the diameter of standard filter bags and increasing the
filter surface available. The pleat/star filter bag can be made out
of any type of filter material, and can be used from normal
temperature conditions going up to 280° C. or 530° F.StarBag is a cost-effective filtration solution that can
significantly reduce costs and solve bag house capacity
problems.StarBag’s unique pleated design can highly increase the
available fabric filtering area in the same space as traditional
cylindrical and oval filter bags. The pleats are gathered at the
top snap band so the StarBag can fit in the same cell plate hole as
a standard bag of the same diameter. Horizontal bands sewn to the
fabric ensure the StarBag retains the pleats for its entire service
life.
