Replacing the Display Inverter

1.Open the display assembly

If the display backplane is a PCB with integrated flex components, see the Replacing the Backlight Inverter PCB section in the Dash Service Manual included with the product for information on how to replace the inverter. Disposal of backplane and mylar insulator strips included in new inverter replacement kits.

2. If the back plate is metal, please disassemble and dispose of the back plate. Secure these two screws.

3.Disconnect the cable from the backlight inverter PCB connector.

4. Remove and keep the two screws that secure the backlight inverter PCB to the monitor mounting plate.

5.Install the poly-ring insulator on the inverter bracket.

6. Install the new inverter using the two securing screws and reconnect the inverter cables.

7. Install the new metal backplate using the two securing screws.

8. Reassemble the display assembly in reverse order.
