Design Features
KOJO standard floating ball valves are manufactured in tow pieces
bolted body,ball valves could be supplied full or reduced
bore,designed for maximum rigidity against pipeline thrust,made
from forged components or barstock.
Bolted body constructions allow easy service and maintenance
opration on site,Pressure rating is from class ANSI 150 up to ANSI
2500 Lbs.
Valves are usually supplied with lever operator,with gear box or
bare stem on customer request.All standard floating ball valves
have below features:
- Lock device:valve is equipped iwth an integral locking device to
secure line flow.
- Blow-out proof stem:the stem is made separately from the ball with
integral T-type round shoulder,which ensures total safety and
integrity.
- Anti-Static Design:grounding device are supplied form positive
anti-static between ball/stem and body.
- ISO 5211 mount plate:simplifies the installlation of actuators with
standard connections.
- Emission-firee gasket:the primary gaskey is emission free graphite
to eliminate leakage.
Fire Safe Design
KOJO ball valve have acquired API 607 certification,Fire safe is
standard desing on all KOJO(KJV) Ball valves,
When fire burned out the primary O-ring and seat insetr,the
secondary seat fire-safe packing graphite seal,and seat ring & ball
metal to metal contact preloaded by spring will minimize the
internal process medium leakage.

A Ball valve is a quarter-turn rotary motion valve that uses a ball-shaped disk
to stop or start the flow.
It resembles a plug valve in many ways. When a port in the ball is
in line, it allows flow whereas when you
rotate the valve 90 degrees, solid part of the ball stop the flow.
Most ball valves are of the quick-acting type, which requires a 90°
turn of the valve handle to operate the valve.
But in case large size valve which required considerable force to
open or close the valve, the gear-operated
actuator is used. With this arrangement, a small handwheel is
enough to operate a fairly large valve.

Types of Ball Valves:
Although ball valves can be divided into many types based on the
functionality, their major two categories are given below:
Floating Ball Valve:
A floating ball valve does not have any anchor for holding the
ball. However, there is a stem that is attached to the ball.
Due to this reason the fluid freely moves the ball downwards
according to the pressure of the flow. A floating ball valve
is considered a great choice for regulating the flow of the valve.
Trunnion Ball Valve:
Unlike the floating ball valve, trunnion ball valve comes with an
anchor on both sides of the ball. This additional support
provides pivot to the ball and helps contain the huge flow. Due to
this reason, trunnion ball valves are very popular for the
applications, which involve the flow of high-pressure valves.
