Hydrothermal method—Synthesis principle
The hydrothermal synthesis of sapphire further reduces the natural
environment. Under high-pressure water-containing conditions, the
crystal gradually crystallizes on the seed crystal.
Process flow
1. Put the raw materials and seed crystals into the autoclave
containing water at the same time.
2. The water in the autoclave is heated to 200°C to make the water
a hot and high-pressure dense fluid, thereby dissolving materials
that cannot be dissolved under normal conditions.
3. Slowly cooling, the crystal grows on the seed crystal.
