It not only emphasizes harmonic frequency, but also emphasizes harmonic order, harmonic spectrum distribution and spectrum ratio. K-factor transformer standard specifications have K -4, K-13, K-20, K-30, etc.; K-13 is a commonly used rating for office loads and general computer room loads, and K-20 tends to be dedicated computer loads, IT data centers, and power quality sensitive equipment PDU (Power Distribution Unit), etc.

The design of K-factor transformer is dedicated to controlling the thermal effects of harmonics.
