How does Fractional RF microneedle work?

Fractional RF microneedle uses minimally invasive gold plated micro-needles to deliver precisely controlled RF energy directly into the deeper layers of the dermis avoiding damage to the skin surface.

This produces a fractionated denaturing of dermal tissue (similar to fractionated laser) inducing new collagen production,
tightening elastin fibers and increasing lymphatic flow. Unlike fractionated laser, however, there is minimal damage to the skin surface resulting in a safer treatment with minimal downtime.

The clinician has complete control over the depth that the needles penetrate (from 0.5mm to 3.0mm) and over the strength of the radiofrequency energy allowing infinitely tailored treatments to all areas of the face and body.

What are the benefits of Fractional RF microneedle?

Tightens skin, minimizes pores, reduces scarring, and lightens pigmentation.
Ideal for treating loose skin and wrinkles on the face, around the eyes, the cheek, jowls, neck, decolletage, arms and hands.
It is also used for local areas of scarring and is excellent for acne scars.

Why is RF needling better than just RF therapy or skin needling alone?

Fractional RF needling combines both skin needling and RF therapy, producing a synergistic effect greater than the sum of each treatment individually.
There is a big difference in the way that RF energy is delivered into the dermis between traditional RF and Pinxel RF
Needling.
Traditional RF therapy transmits RF energy through a handpiece sitting on the skin surface. The RF energy needs to
penetrate through the surface layers of the skin before diffusing into the dermis where it produces its effect. This traditional method delivers RF at a lower energy level producing less collagen stimulation. Traditional RF is an entry-level form of rejuvenation.
Fractional RF Needling on the other hand uses the micro-needles to deliver the fractionated RF energy directly and precisely into the dermis. The RF energy administered this way has greater heating and denaturing effect on the dermal collagen resulting in greater stimulation of new collagen and more effective re-modeling producing better and more consistent results. Its effect is closer to fractionated laser than traditional RF.
In addition to this, the micro-injuries induced by the physical needling produce additional collagen stimulation and also can help in reducing skin pigmentation which traditional RF cannot do.
This is a technologically more advanced level of rejuvenation therapy than RF or skin needling alone.

Are there any side effects?

This is a very safe cosmetic procedure with few side effects and
little down time.
Side effects are very rare but can include:
Prolonged redness lasting 1-2 days
Minor swelling lasting up to 3 days
Minor bruising
Skin color changes (most common in dark skin patients)
Patterning of treated skin (temporary and reversible)
Infection
