Chongqing Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. is the key backbone subsidiary enterprise of SASAC in Chongqing and the holding subsidiary of Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Company. Established in 1950, the predecessor of the Group --- Southwest China Branch of Sinopharm is the key reserve organization for medical instruments designated by the central government and Chongqing government. It is also one of the only three enterprises wholesaling special drugs nationwide. The Group, based on the coordinated development of such three types of operation as pharmaceutical business, big health and R&D of drug, is the largest-scaled medical & healthcare group with the strongest comprehensive strength in western China. The Group has 69 all-level branches and subsidiaries and over 10,000 employees spreading over 12 provinces and cities of central-western China. Pharmaceutical business of the Group covers the entire process of selling in hospitals, wholesaling, chain retailing, terminal distribution, warehouse logistics and supply chain value-added services of drugs, medical equipment and health products. The Group is engaged in drugs of more 80,000 specifications, maintains a long-term stable cooperative relationship with over 10,000 upstream and downstream customers. With its marketing network spreading all over 34 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) in China, the Group has established more than ten province-level pharmaceutical business platforms in Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang, etc. The complex completely covering 35 districts and counties in Chongqing has been achieved, which accounts for over 75% sales quota of Grade III and Class A hospitals in Chongqing. By building the “pharmaceutical + Internet” platform, the Group carries out medical E-commerce, such as B2B, B2C and O2O, etc.; cooperates with large-scaled general hospitals by means of hospital-acquired intelligent logistics technology, so as to enable the warehouse to move forward; constructs central storeroom through complementary advantages of medium-/small-sized hospitals and regional medical centers, so as to achieve centralized distribution.

The nationally-known brand “peace drugstore” subordinated to the Group possesses 559 direct-sale stores distributed in Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou, “Peace Global Purchase” cross-border E-commerce platform and Peace Drugstore E-shop; meanwhile, the Group carries out such businesses as setting up hospital-acquired self-paying drugstores, direct to patient (DTP) and hospital injection center, etc. with multiple hospitals. With leading large-scaled modern pharmaceutical logistics center in China, the Group has built 42 domestic sub-distribution centers with 100,000 square meters in warehouse space.

The big health sector of the Group exerts it self to create structured distinctive diagnosis and treatment system which concerns provision for the aged, health maintenance, recovery, physical examination and other fields combining medical resources with endowment resources, collocates and participates in reforms of several public hospitals in the city, jointly establishes auxiliary reproductive health specialized hospitals and high-end physical examination center with grade 3 and class A hospitals, and spares no efforts to lay out the chain community clinics. Aiming at the accurate direction of medical development, the Group builds the first large-scaled professional biology laboratory for clinical cell molecular genetics to provide services of gene sequencing and detection.

With regard to R&D of drug, the Group and Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly establish Chongqing Bio-pharmaceutical Institute and carry out in-depth cooperative R&D and put achievements on the market, based on the powerful R&D capability and high-quality R&D resources of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
