Product Description
PLUG612R integrates the 640x512 IR thermal imaging sensor by Global
Sensor Technology (GST). It is customized according to the strict
requirements of the infrared load of the UAV with small size and
flexible, lightweight structure, fully optimizing the SWAP.
The PLUG612R is specially designed for the commercial unmanned
aerial vehicle. In the routine inspection of petrochemical
pipeline, power transmission and photovoltaic power generation
system, there may be some problems of blind area of vision and low
inspection efficiency in manual operation, because the equipment is
distributed in a place that is difficult for personnel to reach or
open and vast. The UAV equipped with infrared thermal imaging
detectors or modules can quickly detect abnormal high or low
temperature areas, so as to analyze whether there is oil leakage in
petrochemical pipelines, or whether there is overheating risk in
power lines and photovoltaic panels, which greatly improves the
inspection efficiency and reduces the possible personnel risks.
UAV equipped with PLUG612R thermal camera can also be used in other
areas, such as enforcement and rescue, firefighting application,
animal observation etc.

1. What is infrared thermal imaging?
Infrared thermal imaging is a method of using infrared radiation
and thermal energy to gather information about objects, in order to
formulate images of them, or get temperature information of the
objects, even in low visibility environments.
2. How does Infrared Thermal Imaging Work?
Infrared thermal imaging system is a passive non-contact detection
and identification of infrared technology. It focuses the infrared
radiation of the scene on the focal plane array infrared detector
through the infrared optical system that can pass through infrared
radiation. The thermal detector converts the radiation signal of
different intensity into the corresponding electrical signal, and
then through amplification and video processing, forms the infrared
image that can be observed by the naked eyes.
3. What is thermal sensitivity?
Thermal Sensitivity, also named NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature
Difference), is a key parameter for evaluating medium wave (MWIR)
and long wave (LWIR) thermal imaging cameras. It is directly
related to the clarity measured by the thermal imager. It is a
numerical value representing the signal-to-noise ratio of the
temperature difference and measured in milliKelvins (mK). The
smaller the thermal sensitivity value, the higher the sensitivity
and the clearer the image.
