Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. ("JMC"), one of the largest companies in
China's commercial vehicle industry, has been ranked among the top
100 listed companies in China for five consecutive years. In the
mid-1980s, Jiangling took the lead in introducing international
advanced technology to manufacture light trucks and became a major
light truck manufacturer in China. In November 1993, the company
successfully issued A shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange,
becoming the first listed company in Jiangxi Province. In 1995, the
company was the first in China to introduce foreign strategic
partners by issuing B shares through ADRs. Ford Motor Company
("Ford") is now the company's second largest shareholder.
