The CTU board implements system communication, provides a clock
source for system communication, and supports 1+1 redundancy
(active/standby backup).

Basic function
Manages NE configurations and offers NE alarm outputs.
Supports the backup of NE data. When the NE data changes, the
real-time database backup function immediately saves the changed
configuration data into the storage medium to ensure that no
configuration data is lost after the NE is reset (cold) or powered
off. This NE data backup improves the reliability of the NE.
Supports IP over DCC.
DCC communication
Supports DCC communication between NEs.
Active/Standby backup
Supports active/standby backup. Usually, two CTU boards are
configured in a subrack for 1+1 protection. If the active CTU board
fails, the standby CTU board automatically becomes active.
NOTE:
After active/standby switching is completed, NE data must be
manually uploaded.
Clock function
Provides an ITU-T G.813, ITU-T G.823 and ITU-T G.8275.1 compliant
clock signal to service boards.
Clock source selection function:
Traces the external clock source, service clock source, or local
clock source, to provide the synchronization clock source for
itself and the system.
Time synchronization function:
Synchronizes the time of an NE with the time of the upstream NE.
