Functions and Features

The U401 board supports the mixed transmission of OTN, SDH and packet services. It supports Layer 2 switching, MPLS-TP, and OTN interfaces.

The U401 board can work in either line mode or relay mode. The board supports ODUk, packet services and VC-4 services only when it works in line mode.

OTN functions	Supports OTU4 interface the WDM side. Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined in ITU-T G.709. OTU4 layer: supports SM overhead processing. ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

Regeneration board	The WDM-side signals from an U401 board can be regenerated by another U401, N401, N402, LTX board or an NS4 board of the same type. For example, The type of the TNU2U401T51 board is T51, and the TNU2U401T51 board can be regenerated by other U401, N401, N402, LTX, NS4 boards of the T51 type, such as TNU3U401T51, TNU2U401T51, TNU2N401T51, TNU2N402T51, TN15LTXT51, TN17LTXT51 TN57NS4T51.
