SAAUThe Simple AAU (SAAU) incorporates the RRU, antenna, and RCU.
It helps to simplify antenna installation platform and adjust the
antenna tilt, but it cannot control the beams of the antenna. SAAUs
already launched by include AAU3910, AAU3911, AAU 3920, and
AAU3940.
The SAAU has the same managed object (MO) as the RRU. In SAAU
configuration, RRU Type must be set to AIRU. In order to support RET antenna, RET and RETSUBUNIT MOs also need
to be configured.
VAAUThe Vertical AAU (VAAU) not only simplifies antenna
installation platform and adjusts the antenna tilt but also
controls vertical beams of the antenna. As a result, it improves
wireless coverage and increases network capacity.
The VAAU already launched by is the AAU3902. The MO of AAU3902 is
different from those of other AAUs. The AAU3902 is configured by
the following MOs.
AAS, used in AAU configuration
AARU, used in RF module configuration
VRET and VRETSUBUNIT, used in antenna configuration
The difference between AAU MOs and RRU MOs is shown in the
following figure.
