    Functions and Features

    The N302 board supports electrical cross-connections, OTN interfaces, and ESC communication.

    The N302 board can work in either line mode or relay mode. Table 1 and Table 2 describe the functions and features of the board.

    • Each port on the board supports a mix of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU2e, and ODUflex signals.
    • The TNV1N302T01/TNU1N302T01 board supports dispersion compensation for signals received on the WDM side.
    NOTE:
    TNV1N302G01 does not support OTU3e on the WDM side and ODU2e on the backplane side.
    Cross-connect capabilities

    Supports the cross-connection of 64 ODU0 signals, 32 ODU1 signals, 64 ODUflex signals, 8 ODU2/ODU2e signals, or 2 ODU3 signals to/from the cross-connect board.

    OTN functions
    • Supports OTU3/OTU3e on the WDM side.
    • Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709.
    • OTU3 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
    • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 3, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
    WDM specification

    Supports ITU-T G.694.1-compliant DWDM specifications.

    Tunable wavelength function
    Supports tunable wavelength optical modules that provide for:
    • 40 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 100 GHz channel spacing
    • 80 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 50 GHz channel spacing

    • Monitors parameters such as the bias current, temperature, and optical power of the laser.
    • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.

    Regeneration board

    The WDM-side signals from one TNV1N302T01 board can be regenerated by another TNV1N302T01/TN54NS3T01 board.

    The WDM-side signals from one TNU1N302 board can be regenerated by another TNU1N302/TN55NS3/TN56NS3 board.
