Function and Feature
Description
Basic function
The SC2 board receives, processes, and transmits two optical
supervisory signals. The SC2 board supports a maximum of 42 dB span
transmission.
Technical features
The distance between two optical line amplifiers is not limited by
the OSC. The failure of an optical line amplifier does not affect
the performance of the OSC.
The SC2 board is independent of the SCC. When the SCC is not in
position, the SC2 board can still ensure the pass-through of ECC
with the two optical interfaces and monitor other stations.
Regeneration function
The SC2 board transmits signals from section to section. It also
provides the 3R function. In each regenerating station that has
optical amplifiers, information can be received and new supervisory
signals are added.
Operating wavelength
The supervisory channel signal wavelength is 1510 nm.
