A DALI driver is an LED driver that will accept a DALI or DALI-2 input. In addition to its live & neutral terminals it will have two additional terminals marked DA, DA for attaching the DALI bus.

The DALI lighting control system is designed in such a way that it permits the digital controlling of each lighting fixture in a given lighting system. It uses a low voltage two-way communication protocol that allows for sending and receiving messages from the fixtures.

DALI stands for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface. DALI is a two-way open protocol – a digital, internationally adopted language used to control lighting such as LED Drivers. This allows information to be transferred between devices, such as lighting commands, fault details and diagnostics.
