Control options
To control the motor accurately and efficiently the integrated electronics have to continuously monitor the motor speed and adjust the control input. By making this circuitry available to external sources it’s possible to provide simple speed control options. Dependent on the motor type, any sensor which can provide a 0-10V/PWM or 4-20mA input can be directly connected to provide closed loop control for temperature, pressure or whatever parameter you choose to measure. No need to worry about DC supplies for the sensors either, this is provided by another connection on the motor. In fact, simply connect a potentiometer and you have infinitely variable speed control. No triacs, no frequency inverters and no whining noises! An EC motor under speed control is virtually silent.

The GL Gamma EC Series of centrifugal roof mounted exhaust fans incorporate the latest state of the art, energy saving EC motor technology.
They feature integrated infinitely variable speed control and eliminate the need for external VSDs, current overloads and motor phase protection.
The compact and low profile GL Gamma EC Series is a simple "plug and play" system which means installers do not need to have specialised control programing knowledge.
Matching sensors can easily be connected to monitor the ambient conditions in a space and provide real time feedback to the fan. The fan's on-board microprocessor can adjust the speed and therefore modulate the ventilation rate to match the specific requirements of the area.
They are suited to ducted vertical exhaust applications, include a removable windband that provides easy access for cleaning and maintenance, and are available in 315, 355, 450, 560 and 630mm fan sizes.

Additional Functions
Constant pressure : Used in conjunction with a pressure sensor, the fan maintains the same pressure at varying airflow (ideal for ducted applications). Operates with forward curved centrifugal fans without pressure sensor and with backward curved motorised impellers with pressure sensor (Available on Ecofit fans).
