0.45mm PU Coated Fiberglass Fabric Cloth For Welding Spatter Sparks

PU(Polyurethane) coated fiber glass fabric is a woven fiberglass
cloth substrate which has been coated on one side or both two sides
with a specially compounded grey polyurethane coating. Mass per
unit of this PU coated glass fabric is 460g/m2. Base cloth is
satin(cross twill) weave 3732 fabric. It is 430g/m2 and 0.43mm
thick. When coated with 15g/m2 grey PU coating each side, totally
weight per unit can be 460gsm, and thickness will be 0.45mm.
One special property of PU coated fiberglass cloth is, usually
common coated fiberglass fabric like silicone or PTFE coated fabric
should be used below 260℃. While PU coating is able to resisting instantaneous temperature up to 1100 degree Celsius. So it is very suitable materials for welding sparks/spatter
shield, good for fire/welding blanket/curtain. Coated fiberglass
fabric also have some special properties like chemical corrosion
resistance, electrical insulation, high strength, no itchy, rich
colors.

Fiberglass are also available in blended and coated choices.
Blended fibers fabric are manufactured from a mixture of two or
more different kinds of fibers. However coated fiberglass products
can be improved or sized glass fibers. There are silicone/pvc/PFTE/pu coatings that offers different
special needs.

Satin Weave:
The eight harness satin is similar to the four harness satin except
that one filling yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one.
This is a very pliable weave and is used for forming over curved
surfaces.
3732 fiberglass fabric is a widely used basic cloth for coating. It
is always used for fire blanket because of its suitbale thickness.
When coatded with PU coating, because PU coating can resist 1100℃
for a short time, this PU coated 3732 fabric is very suitable for
fire blanket and welding blanket for fire, welding sparks/spatters
protection.
