What is Pk Belt
V-ribbed belt refers to the ring rubber belt with flat belt as the
base, while the inner surface of the arrangement with equal spacing
of 40 ° trapezoidal wedge, its working face is the side of the
wedge.
We use PK belt to transmit the power among the crankshaft pulley,
AC compressor pulley(fan), tension pulley, water pulley,
alternator, hydraulic pump…These parts are separated to each other,
it is this piece of belt to make them work together.
Compared to V belt, V-ribbed belt has many advantages. V-ribbed
belt has more transmission power, almost 30% higher than the
ordinary V-belt when at the same space. V-ribbed belt makes the
transmission system compact, and the space that the transfer device
takes is 25% lower than ordinary V-belt under the same transmission
power. With thin body and rich flexibility, it is able to adapt to
the small-diameter pulley drive and could also drive multiple
wheels at the same time. Besides, it adapts to high-speed
transmission, the speed could be as fast as 40m/s; what's more, the
belt has such advantages as small vibration, less heat and smooth
operation. And its resistance to heat, oil and abrasion ensures its
small elongation in use and long life.
Precautions for purchase of V-ribbed belt
Choose a V-ribbed belt with right models and suitable wedges that
are compatible with the wheel diameter and wedge slot.
Precautions for the use of V-ribbed belt
1. When the belt is exposed to oil or water in use, it is suggested
to clean or dry it up immediately;
2. The wrap angle is too small, it is suggested to change the
position of the wheel on the reverse
side so as to increase the angle;
3. The tension of the belt is too small, it is suggested to enhance
the tension;
4. V-ribbed belt makes noise in use
- The belt skids in use, it is suggested to dry it up in time;
- The wedge of the belt is inserted with something, it is suggested
to add a protective cover for the transmission of the belt;
- The belt wheel position deviated, it is suggested to modulate it;
5. Large vibration of the belt in use, it is possible that the
tension of the belt is too small, it is suggested to enhance it.

We use EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) to make PK belt as
EPDM, compared with CR,has higher resistance to stress, abrasion,
erosion, oil and aging as well as low noise. Tensile strength of
the synthetic fiber polyester is high and its fatigue lifetime is
long, which provides the belt with good heat resistance so as to
maintain stabilized tension. Besides, with higher transmission
power, thin body and rich flexibility, it is not only used for
pulleys with small diameter, but high-speed transmission.

quality tests from the feeding process to a finished product.
Following are the quality tests concerning PK belt.
1. Quality control of rubber compound composition: conducting a
test over the rubber compound composition of each single batch of
primitive compound to ensure that the compound conforms to the
standard.
2. Quality control of hardness and weight: conducting spot checking
over finished belts to ensure the stability as well as
qualification of the hardness and weight of each belt.
3. Quality control of the belt length in each barrel: conducting
spot checking over the belt length in each barrel to control the
tolerance under 0.05mm
4. Test of the tension of the string: conducting a test over the
tension of the string of each batch to ensure that its tension
conforms to the standard.
5. Test of the service life: conducting a spot checking over the
service life for about a season or even 6 months, therefore, what
are left are all high-quality belt after screening, which means
that the quality of our PK belt is ensured.
