The safe bag is made from fireproof and high strength fiberglass fabric with a laminated aluminium foil layer. Fiberglass is relatively lightweight, has moderate tensile and compressive strength and is easy to handle and machine. High strength, dimensional stability, design flexibility and excellent electrical properties are some of the characteristics that insure optimum performance. This fabric provides improved resistance to abrasion, flexing, tear, puncture and chemical.

It is constructed from a high temperature base fiberglass fabric coated with highly reflective polished aluminium. The aluminium foil coating melts at 1220°F/660℃. However, it does take some time for aluminium foil to absorb enough heat to melt, thereby it can withstand short exposure to the higher temperature. The base fiberglass fabric can resist 1020°F/550℃. While adhesive will burn off or vaporize at temperature above 572°F/300℃.
