FAQ:
Q.: Does fluid surface activity indicate strength of cleaning
power?
A.: Surface activity does not necessarily indicate strength. A
highly active fluid surface can be caused by the fluid level,
especially in those cleaners, which have a high sensitivity to
fluid level-, those that have a high standing wave ratio- those
having dual generator units, which are not properly frequency
matched. Cleaners having strong surface activity sometimes
completely die out whenever the least change occurs in the fluid
level or when a workload is placed in the tank. After a few minutes
the tank should return to normal operation.
Q: How often should I change the cleaning fluid in my tank?
A: Cleaning solutions should be replenished when a noticeable
decrease efficiency, or if the solution is visibly dirty. A fresh
batch of solution for each cleaning session is optional.
Q.: How do I Determine Tank Size & Loading?
A.: The total surface area of the work to be cleaned, measured in
square inches, should not be greater than the tank volume, measured
in cubic inches., or about 230 square inches of cleaning area per
gallon of tank capacity. The size of the tank should be such that
when the work is loaded into the basket there is at least 1.5
inches on each side and top and at least 2 inches of liquid on the
bottom free of parts.
