Principle of treatment:
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is a kind of high strength, broad
spectrum and non-succession light, which can permeate epidermis to
the derma. Utilizing the selective absorption elements, the light
is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles. Through the
optical and thermal effect generated and sourced from the light, it
achieves the purpose of removing unexpected hair by destroying the
hair follicles tissues rapidly and permanently.

How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal is a faster, gentler way to remove unwanted
hair, with great results. It applies precisely controlled pulses of
energy (electrical and light, with cooling), reaching into the hair
follicles that lie beneath the skin. The energy heats the hair,
right down to the bottom of the root, destroying it without
damaging surrounding tissue or skin.
What does it feel like?
Each pulse, which lasts less than a second, produces a slight
tingling feeling. In particularly sensitive areas, such as the
upper lip, it may feel like a quick, light pinch.
Is it suitable for everyone?
At CALM LASER Center we customize the treatment to exactly match
your hair and skin type. The ideal skin type for laser is anywhere
from a skin type 1-3 as well as some people that fit into the skin
type 4 category. In order for the laser to work the hair must have
pigment. Laser does not work on blonde or fine hair.
What about side effects?
The energies used by CALM LASER (electrical and light) are both
commonly used in a range of medical and cosmetic procedures that

You can return to your regular activities immediately after

How many treatments will I need?
Laser hair removal destroys hairs that are in the active growth
stage (Anagen), so repeat treatments will be needed to target hair
that was not affected at the previous treatments. You will need
anywhere from 3-6 treatments to get the optimum results that you
want to achieve.
What results can I expect?
After doing a series of 3-6 treatments you can expect a growth
reduction in the targeted hairs. For some people it will be
necessary due to hormonal or other changes to come in once every 3
or 6 months for a 15 or 30 minute clean up of patches.
