Q1: What is virgin hair?
A: Refers to hair that is completely unprocessed and intact. To
qualify as virgin hair, it must meet
rigorous standards including: not been premed, dyed, colored,
bleached, chemically processed
in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor, and all
cuticles are intact, running in
the same direction. Usually, it also means that is has not been
blow-dried, nor exposed to harsh
agents such as cigarette smoke and drugs.
Q2: How many hair do I need?
A: If you are getting a full weave, the average person needs about
3 packs of hair. ususally 12-18inch
need 3bundles,20-30inch need 4bundles for a full head. The longer
the length of hair, the shorter
the width of the track end to end, this means you will need more
hair for more coverage for more
volume and fullness. If in doubt, always get a third pack for safe
measure, it's better to have a little
extra rather than not enough during your hair appointment. Whatever
you don't use you can save
for your next install or a touch up down the road. Please keep in
mind that our curly hair is naturally
much more thicker than straight or wavy hair. This means you may
not need as much hair for a full look.
Q3: What type of hair care products should I use?
A: Treat this hair like your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and
conditioning products. You should
stay away from ammonia based products because they can break down
the cuticles on the hair, this
can lead to tangling and shedding. Conditioning your hair is very
important to keep it soft and
manageable, so use leave in conditioners. You can also use products
like gel and hair spray to keep
the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave
in these products in for a long time.
Q4: Why are my hair extensions getting tangled?
A: Your Hair Extensions can tangle due to being to dryness, oil &
dirt build-up, salt-water, chlorine and
not combing (wide tooth comb) out your hair daily. Make sure to
wash & condition your hair at least
once a week, twice a week is better. Use hydrating drops or consult
your stylist for more help. It could
also be the hair you purchased, if the hair is not 100% virgin
human hair. the hair may tangle sooner
and not last you as long as 100% virgin hair.
Q5: How long does it last?
A: This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you
maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and
take very good care of it for it to last longer. Many hair
extensionist prefer Brazilian or Indian hair because
it is beautiful and unprocessed which makes it last longer than any
other kind of hair.
Q6. Could the hair be permed and dyed?
It is virgin hair, could be and permed and dyed. But please don’t
exceed 150°C, or the hair will be destroyed.
Improper dyeing will also ruin the hair.
