The CA168-E is a single phase keypad based STS prepaid meter with extended cover and available with connection to MCB.It is intended for a broad rang of prepaid applications, With an improved dynamic current range allowing a basic current of 5 Amp while keeping a maximum current of 80 Amp and extended functional features, CA168 is provided with a BS5685 standard housing and maintains the anti-tamper features, allowing it to be installed in harsh envrionments.

The meter is attached with a metal backplate that can tightly fix the meter body agaisnt the mount surface to reduce the tamper and sabtage. CA168 thus is a perfect solution for low voltage small home consumers and are ideal for retrofit applications. The feature rich device provides enhanced tamper protection, as well as settable power limit and reverse energy measurement.

As tamper as the major cause of non-technical loss, Calin's prepaid meters are all provided with anti-tamper features. The meter is equipped with sensors and triggers. Any illegal intrusion will trigger visual and audio alarm and the inside contactor will consequently disconnect the power if the user not compromise within preset time period. The tamper will be recorded as an event stamped with time within meters' non-volatile memory as proof for future data retrieval.
