The storage structure of the F240 is characterized by separation of
program, data,
and I/O address space. Each part of the space is 64K words. Since
the data address
and I/O address of the F240 are separate,
the DS signal is used as the chip select signal of the external data memory,
and the IS signal indicates access to the external I/O address,
so only the external device needs to be translated. Code, done by
CPLD.
