1. Introduce of honing
Honing: An abrasive machining process primarily used for stock
removal, precision sizing, and surface finishing of internal and
external surfaces. It is characterized by the use of a
self-sharpening abrasive stone, a relatively large area of contact with the work, and relatively low cutting speed.
The back end is connected to the connector, and the front groove is
the cutting body of honing stone

4. Application and working principle of honing rod
Usage: honing rod is used in the hole with high honing accuracy and
finish.
Working principle: the workpiece is fixed, the honing rod rotates in a straight line
and grinds the hole wall.

HONING CONDITION SOLUTIONS

1, Decrease cutting pressure
2, use faster spindle speed
3, use harder stone (one with higher hardness number)
4, use coarser grit stone ( one with lower grit number)
5, increase lubricity of honing fluid.
